Life on Venus is harsh. The average temperature is 462°C, atmospheric pressure 92 times that on earth, 96% carbon dioxide, and the rain is concentrated sulphuric acid.
Still, the Venusians get to celebrate their birthdays every 225 days instead of having to wait 365 days as we do here on Earth.
Venus rotates so slowly (one rotation every 243 days) that a Venusian Day is actually longer than a Venusian Year, so technically Venusians celebrate their birthdays every day.
Even more interestingly Venus rotates in a retrograde direction (i.e. in the opposite direction to its orbit), so you could claim that while their years go forwards, their days go backwards.
